Jupiter & moon activity composite - 15th Aug

On 15th August, there was a lot of moon activity near Jupiter.

It started with Callisto crossing the disc and casting a shadow near the GRS. Shortly afterwards Ganymede and Europa cross in pairs until Ganymede eclipses Europa hiding it from our view, but still casting double shadows! The time span of this sequence is ~4 hours.

C9.25 EdgeHD at f22, ASI290MM, Astronomik LRGB IIc, 1x30s RGB, Adelaide.

Thrilled to have resolved moon surface details for the first time too!
