I'd have to disagree with you, I don't take flash photo's usually, but I do occasionally use the flash on my 20D for daytime fill and I don't see any need to fork out $600+ for something that works perfectly for me now. The pop up clears my most commonly used 17-70 Sigma lens and red eye isn't an issue during the day.
