The reason why I'm disappointed is because it was touted as a breakthrough in performance for the price paid. I understand the 5D debuted at $5,000. I was going on the advice of retailers and really expected this baby to be between $3,000 and $3,500.
I'll still get one. It'll just mean that other astro goodies will have to wait their turn in the queue.
If you don't mind me asking, which retailer has made you the nice offer?

Don't forget the original 5D came in at $4999 originally.
The current street price of the original 5D is $2600-$2800 body only so the 5D MkII will be over $3k.
