If you are using Tom's drivers, perhaps write and ask Tom direct.
He was most helpful when I had driver problems, and we forged a formidible friendship. He has a Messenger account which proved invaluable for instant communication.
Before you do this though, perhaps uninstall all the drivers, go back to the start. I had to but it was worth it.
