I can also report that this case will also double as a transport case for 4 x counterweights that fit the Az-eq6 even allowing for some thin padding to protect the paint on the weights. Not sure how that equates to the EQ8 or regular EQ6 counterweights.
As Geoff pointed out there is a soft rubberised cable exit area with formed openings at one end.
