Some points that were mentioned on a National Geographic documentary:
6% of US Americans believe the Moon Landings to be a hoax and 25% of British share the same opinion.
A very valid defence is that at the time the Russians were in a race to the Moon. Yet there was no challenge from them regarding the authenticity of the Moon Landings.
