Hi SingleMalt
I bought the 31 Nagler because I wanted an eyepiece that gave the widest possible view in my scope, plus I didn't have the cash for the Ethos at the time. It's a very comfortable eyepiece to use and is the one I start friends and family with at the start of the night, because I find they have trouble with eye position using the Ethos first up. I've spent many hours with this eyepiece now and really like it.
But, now that I have the 21 Ethos, I think that will be my main low power eyepiece. The 100 degree FOV in the 21 appears even more impressive than in the 13 Ethos. The 31 Nagler will still be very useful for the really wide FOV some targets need.
I feel fortunate to have both eyepieces, but if I could only have one it would be the Ethos. It will be a great eyepiece in your telescope.
