A few enquiries on the goto upgrade. Cheapest I can find is from Teleskop Express in Germany for around $450 at your door. You get new and better motors and a goto handset and a few other bits, a simple DIY conversion.
Dropping the price to $350 for the mount. The beauty of non goto is it's simplicity....no better way to learn where things are using the setting circles IMO.
Mount carries 14kgs with ease.
