That's really weird Flash-no one here should have to put up that crap,I'd go and tell them what to do with their item in no uncertain terms.I've never heard of such a put on anywhere like that before-most people here are pretty good honest people,and happy to talk on the phone.I made the mistake once here,not having a chat on the phone re a purchase-I always do that,but once did not do it-and paid the price and got hood winked.I later found out there is a bit if an 'underground' here of that sort of thing-from supposedly well manned members-but that's goes on anywhere where there is gathering of humans.But as to your seller pulling that capper up Flash-I'd say if you get a bad feeling right from the start-usually that's where it ends.Sorry to read that you had to put up with that.
Cavet-this is not a whinge at the mods or any of the child boards here-all of which are well run,but just an observation of what can go on anywhere.
