Dead Heated Doggie Blanket
I bought this while in the UK - a 12V, 80W, 1mtr sq. "doggie heating blanket".
It worked well in the Pommy winters and even in drizmal Belgium - keeps the mount and scope just above dew point and significantly reduces condensation etc.
Well, first winter back in Oz...guess what....
Yes, it failed and worse took the 8A 12V power supply with it. Dead - gone to meet it's maker......
eBay have supplied a 240V replacement for $44 "heated throw-over rug"
and a 10A supply (another $30)
Let's see if they can outlast the six years of the originals....
