Seeing, & your low Sun elevation isn't helping George. Here in Bundaberg QLD it's just on 42 degrees at it's highest point. I start at 10AM if I can, making the Sun 35 degrees above the horizon at that hour, so it's mainly about that seeing at anything below 45 degrees.
