For one final push I've got a red filter for the QHY mono and here is the result of my first session using it. Again seeing was good though tailed off after 30 mins.

2 images below, first is red mono and 2nd red/colour cam 50/50 combo (using red as luminance after splitting colour cam into RGB produced a sharper but more noisy image for some reason).

Auto Dob 250+3x tv & mono QHY + colour QHY. 25 degree elev.
