Movie prop-genuine Bear trap.
Went to Toowoomba yesterday,to pick up some new camera gear.The shop also had some other items I got for the rural properties I work on,so picked them up too,while I rummaged around their back room I found a genuine bear trap!-I'd never seen one before in all my years of trapping-it was huge,weighed 21 kg,I just had to take some photos-the retailer said they sell one or two in Australia for movie props,he and his staff offered to set it for me-a major job!-but I said no way-I was out of that shop pretty quick!,I took some photos of a regular wild dog trap (about 6 inch jaws),and my 400 mm lens to try and give a sense of scale.Also one of me holding it.
