I have been hearing bits and pieces about this one, but it looks like the first consumer-grade light field camera is out.

It is a constant f2 aperture with dynamic focusing after the shot has been taken.
Been playing with some of the pictures in the gallery and it looks very interesting indeed. Particularly for those hectic moments like the swoop of a tern or my son's cat striking at a mouse, where I never get focus quite right.
Now to find a lazy $500...
