Hill Street Wallsend Conjunction - Venus, Mercury and Jupiter 29 May 2013

Well it ended up being clear this afternoon, no camera, no time, and I had to get a few things done on the way home. Pressed for time i grabbed the 60D from the house when i got home and I had to go and Visit Al Meehan - so on the way i stopped at the Hill street location to try and get these shots.

I have to tell you that i got the polarie set up toot sweet, but when i put the camera on the mount, switched it on i got the screen no one wished to see in a situation like this - no card in camera.

Oh Sugar!!!! the Conjunction was setting - the mission to find a spare memory card was tense. somewhere tucked in my backpack was a spare 16gig memory card - a class 6 which i have had tucked away just for this very moment. stuck it in and bugger - not recognised. did a format and that was SOOooooooo SLOOOOWWWW. brimming with frustration by this moment i was watching the horizon and planets getting very close.....

then i tried to focus frame and bugger.... forgot the bulb trigger - quick dash back into the card and found it, plugged it in and hoped for a miracle

anyway they are nothing to write home about but here is the follow up from Sundays effort. Mercury is scooting along for sure
