I am putting together a dob at the moment with what I believe is a skywatcher focuser and noticed the same problem today when I was loading up as many accessories as possible to check balance, see attached photo.
In my case the barlow fits through the 2" adapter, but the The barrel of the focuser seems to be slightly under the 2" barrel size of the barlow. The barlows fits fine in the GSO focuser on my GSO dob.
I don't have any advice to offer I'm afraid, just to say that you're not alone!
