If a planet(s) pole shifted in a major manner......the resulting change momentum vectors would probably tear the planet apart.
Ever had a high speed gyroscope topple in your hands? I have, and regretted it, massive forces not in the direction of rotation (similar thing to a planet shifting poles). Now scale that up to the size of a planet.
Ahhh a quick google search show this to be a fiendish plot by Planet Nibiru and Aliens.
