My dogs are good company at my dark site. They were particularly great when the grass was really long in summer and I was doing DSLR work and a bit paranoid about the possibility of a hidden snake. They are reassuring in that they would most likely detect anything alive nearby.
They also like to visit me for a pat or perhaps hoping I will kick the football and a bit of in the dark playing fetch the football.
