Yes and Yes. Some EQ5 mounts have tracking and some don't.

No your current mount would not be able to handle it and it's an AZ mount not an EQ mount.

I would also invest in a new imaging camera.

I have managed to get some DSO with my 12"goto dob here see here http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...d.php?t=107128 but once again you need an EQ mount to get long exposures.
