Actually, as someone who has spent many years living in a Zambian village - those ants were quite realistic. My kids (Zambian raised) straight away started to yell "impazhi!" when watching the movie. We lost 4 chickens in a night to the ants, and our neighbour lost 22 in one day. We also nearly lost our 6 week old son - the roof was covered but they hadn't entered this mossie net when we heard the "drip drip drip" of ants falling from the ceiling onto a plastic bag.
We had a saying "doing the impazhi dance" when you would accidently walk into the ant trail and then see them swarm your leg (they don't bite until they cover you - that way they can put the victim into shock)... once you see them you start screaming and throwing your cloths off while running away... very funny... although a little scary too...
