It arrived UPS today - I was actually out - the delivery guy rang, I raced home.
JUST opened it. Will report later what I think, but indeed, the spur gears ARE now cast items, not brass. Bugger.
Glad I bought the Vixen GOTO kit yesterday too - might swap over gears if same size
