Hi Steffen, glad you had a great night and glad to hear that you are enjoying your new eyepiece. Wow, that's an awesome birthday present, lucky you!
I remember one night (out of 4 years!) that I could see the milky way from my suburban home- it was an experience I'll never forget. I chose to use my 10x60 binoculars instead of the scope as I was curious to the results I could push with them- managed to get Centaurus A- Just! No detail tho, just a wee fuzzy spot.
