Tailing Of the Moon.

Nabbed this plane transiting the moon this morning,I was in a graziers' paddock checking some remote cameras, when I noticed two jet liners passing near the moon, they were quite close.I figured if another plane came over and followed the same flight path as previous two in the next ten minutes-with the moon setting, there would be a good chance of an alignment. So I made sure I carried the bag with 50D and 400 mm lens when I walked down the gully to check the remote camera.

Not long after a Singapore Airlines Airbus A330 came over,so I set the camera settings, and selected outer right focus point, but as the plane got closer it looked set for a very close shave/cross over-so turned camera up right, and snapped these images. Was a first class view for a split second!

Camera set at iso 250 AV 7.1 speed 1/800.first image cropped and levels adjusted, the following two are jpegs as the camera took them,no crop, only low res to up load.

Plane approx 25'000 (according to flight tracker radar).Hope these might be of interest.
