It's a good book; I did a review of it on the astronomical spectroscopy group......
Targetted more towards the practising professional astronomer who wants to know something about spectroscopy.
I'd obviously recommend "Astronomical Spectroscopy for Amateurs", available through Amazon/ Springer ;-)
