PS: now I have Allan's Lodestar, I plan doing M83 myself tonight too - the darned Orion starshoot sutoguider can't find a good enough guide star near M83, and I have to move the guidescope a LOT before it sees one. Hopefully, the renowned sensitivity of the Lodestar will change all that!
