Hi Tony
Yes I do, however I think it will be even a little better once I get the Baader UV/IR filter. The sky background is somewhat red (as expected with a modded camera) but Im thinking the sky might be just a little darker as some IR light might be getting past the UHCS's lower cutoff limits, I have read that a UV cut filter is recommended. It should stop any star bloat when using my 50mm lens too.
I get about the same image density on an ISO 400 ten minute shot with the modded 350D as a ISO 1600 ten min. shot with the unmod. 300D,(also with UHCS filter so, yes, with red emission nebulae about 4 times more nebula light with the UHCS fitted.
Its not so improved when shooting blue nebulas. I had a shot at a blue faint planetary, it looked no better on the modded camera as the old 300d, though id like to test it further on blue PNe's
On ISO 1600 the Eta carina neb is starting to over espose much past 200 seconcs with the mod. camera. That would require over 15 mins with the 300D.
I could have specified for a Hutech 350D with their IR cut filter installed over the CMOS but I went for the clear glass option as Id like to get into Infra red imaging one day.
