F1 - Bahrain Qualifying ONE HD 20:30 AEST 20 April 2013
The logistics of moving all those cars, equipment, buildings and people from
Shanghai to Bahrain in a few days boggles the imagination, but P1 has just
completed with the Ferrari's looking fast. Massa led the way on a 1:34.487 closely followed
by Alonso and Rosberg. Vettel trailed the leader by 3/10ths of a second with the
fourth fastest time. Webber was 6/10ths slower than Massa and was seventh
quickest.
All ran on a mix of new and used hard compound tyres.
Coverage of qualifying will start on ONE HD on Saturday 20 April at 20:30 AEST.
Note that coverage of the race will be on TEN on Sunday starting at 21:30 AEST.
So unfortunately no live HD coverage.
Ferrari are the most successful constructor in Bahrain having won four times
and been on the podium a further five.
In an interview today, Mark Webber made it clear that despite rumours, he
has not made any plans for 2014.
He was spotted at dinner with Fernando Alonso in Dubai but said the two catch
up two or three times a year and pointed out he will be having dinner this
weekend with Jenson. He said, "You know the drivers can go out and socialize!
There is no need for paranoia."
