While the tripod is not the greatest there is a bit you could do to make that more solid. The problem is the mount itself. You are limited in what you can do to stablise that. In the end if you want to pursue astrophotography start saving for a good mount. In the meantime try to enjoy what you have and get the best you can out of it.
