Takahashi FSQ106-ED

Hi All,

This scope really needs no introduction for those in the game. It’s a wide field astro imagers dream with its four element petzval design producing a super flat field capable of illuminating an 88mm image circle size, thus can handle large format cameras available today with ease. The Takashi FSQ-106ED originally didn’t come out with a camera angle adjuster (CAA) that the EDX and EDXIII has so this was added to the scope to provide greater versatility. The focuser on this unit can easily handle the heavy payloads of large cameras to no ill effect on field curvature. I used it with an Apogee U16M camera and filterwheel which aren’t lightweights. Front objective could do with a recoat as seen in the photos but it does not appear to have degraded the telescope’s performance. I’ve assume the purchaser may wish to pursue a recoat so I’ve dropped the price significantly.

The kit includes;
Takahashi FSQ-106ED
Camera Angle Adjuster (CAA)
Takahashi finder scope with bracket
92-to-98mm adapter with 10mm flat to support the TAKometer (TAKometer not included)
CAA adapter to female AP 2.7”-24 thread (can be used to connect a MMOAG if desired)
Two custom precise parts adapters for altering the back focus and ridged camera coupling. One works with an STL, the other Apogee filter wheel.
Parallax instrument tube rings with top and bottom Losmandy dovetails.

$1,500 + shipping [SOLD]
