Solar mosaic 5 April 2013

Part of the data I captured on the 5 April this image is taken with the double stacking unit in place. Several imagers have told me they had trouble with using the DS units and getting the panels right. I can say this is a fiddly thing to get right but I think I have sorted the problem. My thoughts on using the DS unit is to capture at 0.5A rather than at 0.7A. Hoping to get more detail through the lower angstrom selected. I think the detail is certainly better but perhaps I need to look at another setting in the band pass.

I like the filaproms in this image with a few of them being seen around the limb. These give an interesting 3D feel to the image. The large active region is of interest too with several part of it giving nice textures.
