Australian Rules Football (and thats is another pet peeve of mine, since when has it been called AFL? The local league here doesn't play AFL. It is Aussie Rules, Australian Football or just plain footy!! Calling it "AFL" is another affectation from the norther states IMHO) is one of the few local and purely indigenous codes around. I think in a multicultural society it is a good thing to celebrate at least one thing that makes this country unique.
