Don't worry I have a hard time distiguishing between average and mean sometimes.

There is also the fact of unsharp masking etc, when and how to apply, how mqany images is reasonable to stack, and how many is too much? What is the best was to layer an image smallest time first to largest exposure or vice versa or just one free for all? I took some dark frames ofr each setting as I was going, I will have to learn how to apply them, and how to do a flatfield?
