new observatory
Hi Guys
I am finally getting around to building the new observatory. :-)
I have between 4 and 5 meters by 3 to 4 meters to play with. Since i have the space I would like to have all my books and space stuff in the observatory (instead of in boxes as they are now) so I need to avoid the dew problem with a fully open roof all night. A split roof with some permanent and some roll off would be an ideal solution.
Obviously the bigger the observatory the heavier the roof so this is also a consideration and ideally I want to go with a flat? roll off, but i am wondering has anyone had (or knows of) a split system where part of the roof is permanent and the rest is roll off over or under the permanent roof. How do you solve the water rain drainage issue in such a system?
Any suggestions?
