Thank you for all the kind comments, the horsehead is definitely a lot better then with the unmodded camera but there is a lot... LOT more room for improvement... perhaps its time to attempt narrow band photography.
I tried to image a close up of the horse head since taking these pics, but the image turned out murky and soft, but looking at the sky it was obvious that there was a lot less transparency then the night of the posted pics, sky looked amber and bright. Hopefully the next time isn't too far away before the weather lines up with days off in a positive way... even with the moon out, I think Ha, OIII and SII should be OK.
