Comet Lemmon visits NGC 55

Hi All,

I tried to get Lemmon and NGC55 yesterday but had a few issues:

1) Forgotten counterweight shaft for my EQ5
2) Flat battery in the red-dot finder
3) bumped tripod after polar alignment (twice!)
4) Objects too low in the sky in the brown "mud"

Anyhow here is a mediocre image for the historic record of the event. I hoped that the tail would actually go over the galaxy but it was just a few arcminutes away.

Stellarvue 80mm, f/6, Sony NEX5N, 3x30 sec @ ISO 3200

Cheers,
Alex
