It's Caltech's Galaxies and Cosmology course but I'm doing it for free through an organisation called
www.coursera.org . They have lots of courses from various universities around the world, some of which are astronomy related. I don't get any worthwhile accreditation for doing the course but I get something better - knowledge!!
In the case of my M83, the way the spirals are formed and the associated star forming regions gave me a guide to the colours I should be seeing. With a bit of careful processing, these colours did appear!! The course only has about another week to go but it has been very enjoyable.
