Thank you to everyone who voted. I thought I was up against excellent competition. Being a wannabe bird photographer I was impressed at the sharpness of Paddy's Plover, thought Tony's Cuckoo was a great find and understand just how difficult Robert's eagle was to capture.
I think part of the reason for the quality was the subject. It was something to which many people could contribute. With this in mind the next subject is "rain". At the moment this might attract a record number of entries
