She was in service at "Green Hill" where the Duke and his family stayed whilst in Australia in the mid 1940's. She became very friendly with the family, and she was often invited to join them on their day trips, picnics, drives to the beach.
He was very fond of a drop, notoriously so LOL
I've attached a photo of the glasses. There are 2 of each type.
My sister has the photos from this time, including a photo of a very young Prince William (deceased) which he signed for her.
