It's an exact replica of the truck his father drove. 25 was their phone number back in the day ...

His Father, Uncle and Cousin were all killed in the truck on their way to Albury in 1960. Bad weather and roads meant visibility was very poor and they struck a tree. The petrol tanks were originally underneath the cabin seats, they exploded on impact. They were transporting livestock, amazingly none of them died. The following day they were due to sell the truck for a new one. This was meant to be the last run.

Other than the petrol tanks now one on each side, the truck is identical.

At the time there were two main truck companies in the Riverina sharing most of the work, Gibbs Bro's and .... Finemores! Who knows now what could have become of Gibbs Bro's had their accident been avoided.

The truck goes to many shows now and gets a lot of attention, I can proudly say that I helped some of it
