The 7887 comes with two spacer rings that controls the distance between the two optical elements of the FR/FF .
For 500mm FL no spacer
640mm FL thin spacer (this works fine for an 80ED 600mm)
800mm FL thick spacer
The recommended distance is 55mm from image plane and with their EOS adapter that screws onto the FR/FF that is what you get.
Strangely the 7887 works best with no spacer with my TAL 200K.
