I have to keep slapping my wrist sometimes and remind myself to dial back the saturation. I have certainly been guilty in the past of WAY TOO MUCH. I tend to go a bit bluer in my images than other night scape photographers. It is just what I find appealing. My images are certainly not scientifically accurate in terms of colour range.
I find that the method I use to add a bit of saturation does not adversely effect the quality too much. I'll send you a message.
