Widefield occultation

Like others I had great plans for the evening but I did not plan on clouds coming in before it even got dark.

In disgust I only had time to fire off a very quick shot as the clouds rolled in. Jupiter does show up in the original but disappears in this compressed version.

While watching the action online I saw a report that the clouds might clear just in time so I stuck my head outside. In a rush I grabbed the camera and waited hopefully, I could see a clear patch coming but time was running out.

I only had a small window and fumbled around in the dark trying to get the focus right and was a bit off. Not the greatest image but here it is anyway.
