The Ha data provides a lot more detail to the finished product. The guide that I used was on the Starizona website and I followed the type 2 process to get a HaRRGB. I have produced another Ha picture with the Ha data at 1X1 Binning. You bring the OSC pics into CCDStack and tell it to extract the R channel everything else gets chucked.
I resized the picture with Photoshop. My Ha filter came to me from Gama Electonics when I got the QHY10. I'm not sure of the brand and I think it's a 12nm (low on $ at the time

).
