Yes I realise you've only used the green channel.
That's because it's the most sensitive channel.
From memory I think it has twice the number of pixels assigned to the green channel to correspond to the human eye's sensitivity.
I was just wondering if you would like to try doing all three and recombining all of them.
Might be worth a try.
