While i'm not a huge fan of my original image above, I decided to try a different processing routine for a lunar shot.

I took the TIFF file saved out of registax (after mild wavelets), took it into AstraImage and split into RGB channels, and took the green channel, applied a LR deconvolution (5/1.8) followed by a Medium unsharp mask and some gamma/contrast adjust.

I think the result is much sharper and shows more fine detail on the surface.

I might have to go back to some of my older lunar shots and see if the technique works well on those too.
