Jupiter fun
When I got my new rig (10" Meade SCT, Canon 60Da, other stuff) in December - my first astronomy kit for 25 years - the first thing I did was try to capture Jupiter. All totally haphazard, of course - my last attempy at astrophotography involved film, freezers and 40' exposures in 1986.
Nevertheless, I have bunged together a single 1/25" ISO 200 exposure of the whole system with a 3' AVI capture/align/stack with Regisatx 6 of the planet using the 640x480 movie crop of the 60Da plus 2x Barlow. It's a fun image.
