Click on "Take Darks" button next to the "Brain" icon and PHD will ask you to cover your guide scope - click OK after you've have covered the guide scope and it will then iterate a few "Darks" exposures and then it will ask you to remove the cover - from now hopefully you will have a clean image thru the guide scope (without the previous "hot pixels" to confuse you into thinking they are stars!) as long as the frame-rate is NOT changed! When the frame-rate is changed you must re-take those darks again
