I thought it may be a tough combo for close ups. In saying that I love using it for full frame disc shots at low res. Hope the clouds clear for you!!!

I am starting to take shorter frame numbers when it pretty cloudy and stack them. It seems OK provided there is no big gaps of 10 minutes. No good with 3x Bar though.
