You're right, there are two sides to a story but Mill is essentially correct in his comments and as such, is not maligning anyone.
The item was offered for sale..........the price was subsequently reduced (considerably)..........someone said they'd take it and as was evident in now deleted posts, the offer to buy was accepted...........that offer was later rejected and seller's posts were edited and (at the seller's request) other posts were deleted. Is it a "wise" way to "do business".........probably not, but that is up to the individual seller.
For the record, I contacted the prospective buyer and the seller offering to buy the 'scope and then arrange to have it shipped........the buyer had the courtesy to respond........the seller didn't
