Yes, it is a real pain to have to change your email address.
In my case it is unavoidable as I am with the old Hutchinson
"three" network which has been taken over by "vodaphone"
and it is not possible to upgrade as I wish and it is likely to
be turned down in the near future. The free email address
provided by "three" cannot be transferred over to "vodaphone".
With more foresight I should have gone for a transferable
email address in the first place but I did not anticipate
this takeover. It appears that the service providers do
a lot of churning for their own benefit with little regard
to the effect on their customers. When I worked for Telstra
would you believe that one clause in their "mission statement"
was "Customer First policy" (hollow laughter).
